The traders were left lamenting and almost got chaotic as the county enforcement officers, who were deployed to operate within the town, got on to a waiting car and left the incident scene after the destruction process.

The traders said they never received any information about the operation as they were busy with their day to day activities when they saw the county enforcement officers come armed with iron rods and immediately began to do away with their temporary market sheds which the traders had made to conduct their business in.

The traders demanded to know from the officers who gave them the order but it was all in vain as the officers claimed they were trying to remove the old sheds to rebuild and reorganise the market so as to make it decent. The traders strongly opposed this and said that the county government has got different plans rather than upgrading the market. They said they will hold a peaceful demonstration to determine the truth behind the destruction of their business structures.

They also demanded to know why some of the sheds were not vandalised. They believe that the ones that were not demolished belong to some members of the county enforcement officers, hence, they demanded equality if it means that the sheds were to be vandalised.

The traders are demanding to get an explanation and the root cause of the destruction which occurred without their attention. They are convinced the influence was politically instilled.
