The Kisii county matatu operators have been urged to have their matatus registered so as to be recognized easily and to benefit with their registration in various matatu saccos.

In an announcement that was made by the county enforcement officers in charge of the Kisii bus terminus, the matatu operators were urged to make sure their vehicles are registered in order to comply with the rule of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), and to avoid chaos with the various destination management on which saccos or organisation that the vehicles belong to.

The summon comes a few days after some matatu operators claimed that they are usually in trouble during the registration of the vehicle in various bus terminus away from Kisii County government since their vehicles are not in any of the registered saccos.

The matatu workers who have not registered in matatu saccos and have been urged to do so to be safe in their services and to comply with the terms of the matatu sector.
