A Kisii based politicians has claimed that majority of Kisii County MCAs are lazy.
Rachael Otundo who unsuccessfully vied for the Kisii County Woman Representative seat during the last year's polls, claimed poor oversight role by MCAs in the region should be blamed for poor development in Kisii.
“Ward representatives are lazy and have failed in their oversight role something that has delayed initiation of development projects across all the wards in Kisii County. It is time the MCAs woke up and not spare Governor Ongwae just because they were sponsored by the same party during the August 8, 2017 elections,” Otundo said.
She challenged Kisii County Senator Sam Ongeri to cooperate with the MCAs to ensure more development projects are initiated across the county without discriminating any region.
“It may be hard for the ODM MCAs and senator to criticize Governor Ongwae’s leadership but for the purpose of bringing development, the elected leaders should not fail the electorates in their roles.
"They were given a mandate by Kisii voters to bring development such as good roads, improved health care and quality education to all Kisii County children among other developments," she added.
Otundo stated that Kisii County residents won't 'eat' prolonged party politics.
