Former Cabinet Minister Simeone Nyachae's wife Esther Nyachae has passed on, the family has confirmed.
According to the reports from the family members, the late Mama Esther had been ailing for some time before succumbing to her ailment in a Nairobi hospital on Tuesday morning.
"She has been ailing for some time," family member Jeremiah Masakara told Nation.
However, Masakara did not reveal the details of the ailment but said it will be communicated once the family has a full report.
"We do not have exact details of the matter.The family members who are in Nairobi will reveal further details as soon as they are ready," he added.
Leaders from the county have already sent their condolence messages to the Nyachae family with the area Senator Chris Obure terming her demise a 'cruel blow'.
On his part, the county deputy Governor Joash Maangi described Mama Esther as a hardworking, humble and dedicated individual who will be dearly missed.
"We are with the family at this time of sorrow. May God comfort them in this time of grief," said Maangi.
