Nyamira County Governor John Nyagarama has urged Kisii and Nyamira counties to come together under one party to help solve Gusii region issues amicably.
Speaking during the burial of Ronald Oroko Ndemo, the brother to former Information Technology cabinet secretary Dr Bitange Ndemo, in Kisii County yesterday, Nyagarama stated that it will be hard for Gusii resident to be recognized if they support every party that is available.
“Let us be under one formidable party that will help our people instead of welcoming each and every party to Gusiiland with no gain but selfish interests," said Nyagarama.
Constitutional Implementation chairman Charles Nyachae urged political leaders to avoid reckless remarks that undermine the Constitution as they are the ones that should safeguard the spirit of the Constitution.
Nyachae said that Gusiiland being his home, no one can limit his on travel to the area referring to political jibe thrown towards him by politicians in the area.
“As long as I don’t overstep my Constitutional mandate no one will stop me from assisting our people where I can for am the son of this soil," he said
Nyachae also called on Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire to give a highlight of development projects he has initiated in his constituency other than being sycophant to his chief.
