On Wednesday evening six kisii youth among them some county government staff were arrested over hate speech.
The suspects were picked from a Hotel in Kisii town.
Those who were arrested include; Josephat Nyaberi, Paul Ochora, Rodgers Onyancha, Paul Makini, Benard Nyamwaro and Denis Mosoti (Embura Embe).
Area OCPD Mr Francis Nguli said crucial leads that may lead to the arrest of the remaining suspects are welcomed.
The OCPD cautioned social media users against using the platform to abuse others and incite the public saying legal action will be taken against them irrespective of their social status.
Mr Nguli said the crackdown on individuals and bloggers posting inciting messages online will go on for days to come.
He warned those using the social media irresponsibly to desist saying the law will catch up with them.
