Kisii County Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has summoned the CeC for Public works Skitter Ocharo over alleged shoddy work done at the Daraja Mbili abattoir.
Addressing the press in Kisii town on Monday, PAC chairman Ronald Onduso said records show construction works at the abattoir are complete but claims poor work was done.
Onduso, who is also MCA for Bogetenga ward in South Mugirango Constituency said they want to know how much was spent on the renovated abattoir.
"We, as a committee for public accounts are not contented with the work that was done in the Daraja Mbili abattoir. We visited the site two weeks ago to assess the situation and work done," said the PAC chair.
"We have already summoned the minister for public works to shed light on the work done and know how much was spent to renovate the abattoir," he added.
