Kisii County governor James Ongwae during the launch of the county’s flag on Monday clarified to the county residents that the flag will be the county's identity and not a signal of isolating the county from the national government.

He further informed members of the public that despite the launch of the county Flag, it was not lawful to also compose an anthem for the flag as that would contravene the country's national flag values.
