Kisii County politicians and leaders have been urged to form one political party ahead of the 2022 elections.

This is according to Wiper Party assistant chair person Victor Swanya Ogeto who said by leaders unitying it was a plus to locals.

According to him, most of the communities across the country have been easily gaining from Government appointments and more other job slots due to their unity.

Reacting to the recent Parliamentary service Commission appointments on Saturday Swanya said Kisii and Nyamira regions   would have scoped mores slots if only they had MPs come from one party.

"We fought day and night to ensure Borabu MP Ben Momanyi represents us in the PSC but if we had our own party we would have easily scoped the seat without much hustles as witnessed and thats why I am championing for a unity of purpose" said Swanya

Swanya said he will call upon all elected leaders and those eying for any party in future from the region to ensure that they form one party that will unite the community.

"We must speak in one voice as Gusii Community come 2022 and the only way to achieve it is through having our party.Currently the region has no strong party since majority of the small parties that were available were 'swallowed' by Jubilee.
