Suneka residents in Kisii County have called on the police to move with speed and investigate the cause of fire that razed down a number of shops and residential houses at Suneka area.
Led by former Parliamentary aspirant Charles Mogaka the residents said the fire incident was extraordinary as more than 10 houses and shops were razed down on Friday morning.
“We are in a sad mood as most of the area residents are counting losses. All we need now is the police to launch a serious investigation to identify the cause of the fire that saw the locals lose money and their capital," said Mogaka.
The youth leader asked the County Government of Kisii to ensure they give a fire-fighting vehicle to each and every county to ensure that the fires that break in the county are handled on time.
“We are happy with the fact that the county Government fire fighters came on time, however, we are urging them to ensure that they place fire fighting vehicles in each county," he added.
