Kisii County Chief Administration and Disaster Management Officer Patrick Lumumba, has called on Kisii residents to report any mishandling behavior from sub-county and ward administrators in the county.

Speaking to the press in Kisii on Monday, Lumumba said the administrators at the grassroots was meant to provide service to the people regarding to county government programs and also brief the residents on what the government plans to do for its people.

He blamed those officers who have been reported to be harassing residents whenever they go for enquiry.

“I warn sub-county and ward administrators who are mishandling residents that they will be punished if they don’t change their behavior,” Lumumba warned.

He added, “The administrators are the eye of the county and therefore whatever they are doing it affects the county government directly.”

This comes after it emerged that some sub-county and ward administrators are not representing the government well in the ground that prompted the chief administrator give a stern warning to them.

One of the sub-counties that have been on the spot is Nyaribari Masaba where residents accuse the administrator of neglecting them whenever they go for enquiries the allegations he has since denied.
