Area residents have petitioned the hospital's administration to ensure there is a proper waiting bay at the facility, to accord visitors with patients with a hospitable environment.

Catherine Mokeira, one of the residents said that lack of a waiting bay at the hospital occasionally forced people visiting patients to sit on the main pavement outside the main gate waiting for visiting hours.

Mokeira adds that, normally a larger population consists of women who spend long hours outside the hospital gate pavements before they are allowed to visit their patients.

"Prior to visiting time the security instruct us to sit outside the main gate on the pavements, to await the visiting hours," stated Mokeira.

Waiting outside the main gate is uncomfortable for relative and friends of patient at the hospital, and also the resident are exposed to rain and sun.
