They said that the road is a major cause of accidents and usually impassable during the rainy season."It is the President himself who promised that this road will be built but to date, we have not seen any engineer on site," said Albert Nyabuto, a resident. He wondered where the tractors and heavy machines that accompanied the President during the announcement went oo. The residents faulted the Kisii County government for turning a blind eye."This road leads to Governor James Ongwae's native home he uses it always but he does not mind about the people, " said Mr Zephaniah Makori. Matatu operators plying the route decried the pathetic condition of the road saying that whenever it rained traveling became a nightmare.
