Kisii RFC put up a spirited fight, but went down 29-22 against a strong Nondescripts RFC at the Jamhuri Showground on Saturday.
Both teams are facing relegation, and Nondies’ case got worse when they were docked 10 points last week for allegedly fielding ineligible players.
Nondies took the lead trhough Eric Ombachi, who showed the entire Kisii defense a clean pair of boots to touch down for the first try.
Fielden Sinei then showed his class, scoring eight points for the hometeam, before Kisii staged a fight.
They scored three quick tries just before the break, ensuring they went of the break tied.
However, the Nondies came back stronger and picked from where they had left, with Benjamin Marshall scoring a beauty of a try after some good work by Sinei.
It got worse for Kisii as Ernest Ngong scored under the posts, after sidestepping Kisii players in a skillful style.
Kenya Rugby Union last week docked them 10 points, leaving them with a single point having accumulated a paltry 11 points after four rounds of matches.
They however appealed the decision, and will be awaiting to see if it will be overturned this coming week.
