The Kisii Central KSSHA Chairman Timothy Atuti said that the Sh2,000  that every student is paid for by the government during the second term of the year is too little considering that they are supposed to have received 50% of the amount during the first term of the year, 30% of the amount during the second term and 20% of the amount in the third term of the year but the money usually delays.

Speaking in his office today, Atuti said that the delays in giving the money to the schools disrupts learning greatly and also affects the performance of students.

He thanked the government for sending part of the money adding that it had reached school accounts.

He however said the money was still little noting that it had now reached 50% and called on the government to fasten the process and send the remaining 50% of the money.

“After waiting for so long for the money that is supposed to be sent to secondary schools to facilitate the learning of students has arrived in school accounts and I want to thank the government for that,” he said.
