Ms Jane Kombo, is a patient at the Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital and she does not know where her plate is.
According to her, she has purchased so many plates almost on daily basis and wonders who steals them from her.
"Since I was admitted here a month ago, I have bought more than ten plates but still can't tell where they are taken," she said.
Ms Kombo is not alone, James Mauti another patient goes through the same ordeal and he says he now needs a box to hide his plate.
He said that in the last two weeks he had bought more than eight plates.
"If leave your plate anyhow here you will never see it again. It is like we are in boarding school," he said.
According to him, if you dont have a plate while admitted at the facility you will never be served with food.
This the patients say makes some of the patients steal plates from others.
"We request that the hospital gives us plates just like other facilities. It will help restore order in our facilities," said Ms Kombo.
She now wants Governor James Ongwae to intervene and help them get order at the facility.
