Kisii County will play host to the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom Nyanza regional semifinals and finals this coming weekend, on 9th and 10th.
The Nyanza Regional finals will be played at the Gusii Stadium.
According to footballkenya.org, four boys and four girls’ teams will battle it out for the Nyanza region honors, and hence snatch two slots available to represent the region in the National finals.
The national finals will be held in Nairobi in March next year.

Girls’ semifinals (Dec 09, 2017)
1. Omebera Girls vs Plateau Queens (8:30 am)
2. Ekenyoro vs Ugari Starlets (10:30 am)
Boys’ semifinals (Dec 09, 2017)
1. Awendo Academy vs Nyamira Super Eagles (12:30 pm)
2. Ombek Red Devils vs Manyatta (2:30 pm)
The winners will book places in the finals to be played on Sunday, the 10th of this month at the same venue.
Winners in each category will be awarded a trophy and Sh200, 000, while runners-up will be awarded Sh1000, 000, courtesy of the tournament sponsors telecommunications company Safaricom.
Safaricom has invested Sh100 million towards the program which includes Sh10m worth of prizes as well as funds for the renovation of select community pitches through a legacy programme.
The winning teams at the grand final in Nairobi in March 2018 will walk away with Sh1 million each, and an opportunity to go for an international training and mentorship camp in London, led by Kenyan International Victor Wanyama who plays for English club Tottenham Hotspurs.
