According to the University Vice-Chancellor John Akama, the new system known as SMART Boards will allow learners to get tutorials on a digital platform.

Akama said the project is being funded by the Computer Aid International.

"The new technology will ease learning and research because it is an advanced overhead projector,” said Akama.

He said the project uses an interactive whiteboard with touch facilities for user input such as mouse, scrolling and multi-media functions.

Akama called on learners at the institution to make use of the project to help them prosper in their studies especially when doing research.

"Learners should make use of the project especially when it comes to research work to enable them to get good marks,” added Akama.
