The new date for re-opening of Kisii University has been announced. The dates were announced through the Daily Nation dated 29th October 2016.

Strangely enough, the students have been asked to be accompanied by their parents upon returning to campus. A move that has shocked most of the students. 

"I am a parent myself how can I be asked to bring my parents," said one of the students on Facebook. 

"This is unheard of, a University claiming to be of the 21st century making such a move, I am shocked," added another student. 

"These people are shaming Kisii University," another student complained. 

The students must clear their fees and pay a fine of Sh1,800.
