In his speech on Friday after the official opening of the agricultural show in Kisii, Ruto said that the people of Kisii need to decide the fate of their future leaders in the country.

However, the residents of Kisii County have come up with a response to Ruto saying that the region has got divided votes both to Jubilee and to the oppositions coalition cord.

In an interview with Alex Atisi a political analyst, it has been revealed that the region has majority of its supporters to the opposition.

''Our region cannot promise full support for one individual since in the last polls we had 27 percent to the Jubilee party which means we still cannot stick to one side,'' he said.

Atisi says that the voters may give one side their votes but at the end of the day, the votes benefits each candidate which means each side has got votes from the region and hence all the two parties seem to lose through the limited votes given to the parties.

The Jubilee party seems to be creeping slowly for the votes from Gusii region, indicated by the frequent visits paid by the president and his deputy to the region in the past few days.
