South Mugirango youths have challenged Kisii County government to involve them in development projects.
They claimed they have never been involved in any project in the county, saying it risks lowering their living standards due to low income.
Speaking to journalists on Friday in Kisii Town, the youths led by Geoffrey Mengo (their chairman) challenged the county government to always involve them in development projects in the county like youths from other constituencies.
They also appealed to political leaders from the county to unite for a common course and to eliminate unemployment in the region, which they lamented was rampant.
“We urge all leaders in Kisii County to work with the national government to create job opportunities that can help us,” said Mengo.
He added: “I am asking current leaders and former politicians to leave aside their political differences and focus on development projects to boost our economy."
