Kiss FM’s radio presenter Adelle Onyango has been listed in the top 100 women for BBC's 100 Women Challenge 2017.
The morning presenter joins a list of seven other Africans with three of them coming from Kenya.
Adelle was chosen for her contributions to the empowerment of young women.
Moments after receiving the news she took to social media to share with her followers.

“Super-excited to be listed on BBC’s 100 Inspirational and Innovative women 2017 list. Humbled to be in the list that includes [Tiwa Savage], Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and my fellow Kenyans,” she said in a post.
Adelle expressed her confidence over the nomination maintaining that the new global platform will enable her the opportunity to shed light a variety of key issues and help generate some much needed conversation.
According to BBC the women chosen represent female talent all across the globe in their respective fields.
“This is a unique celebration of female talent which sees four teams of women tasked with finding solutions to everyday problems currently blighting female lives across the globe,” the news company said in a statement.
