The students went on the streets of Kiambu demonstrating, causing a major snarl up along the street.

The IT student was found murdered and his body dumbed in Kirigiti with deep cuts.

Speaking to this writer, one of the demostrators said this was the second incident this year, after another student was murdered in February under mysterious circumstances.

"We are now not sure of our safety if one of us can be brutally murdered in such circumstances. We want security to be beefed up and the suspects apprehended soon," said Wairia.

Confirming the incident in his office, Kiambu OCPD SSP Stephen Ng'etich said that the body of the 24-year-old man was found dumped in Kirigiti with very deep cuts on the head and some of his body parts were missing.

"His fingers and ears were missing, we suspect that the crime was committed somewhere else but the body dumped at Kirigiti," said Ng'etich.

He said that according to the statements recorded by some of the friends the deceased spent the last minutes with, they parted ways at Kiambu bus terminus at 9pm and they suspect the crime was committed from that moment since he had the same clothes.

"The deceased never got home last night so between the time he parted ways with his friends and his journey home the crine was committed, " said Ng'etich.

The police boss said that investigations had been launched following the killing, although no suspects had been arrested.

The body was taken to Kiambu District Hospital Mortuary.
