Kisumu County-based Kisumu All-Stars defeated Bidco United 1-0 in a National Super League Match played at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu on Wednesday evening.
Gerishom Arabe scored the lone goal in the 75th minute after a simple tap-in from a Dennis Ochieng's cross. Ochieng had initiated a good run on the flank.
However, the team suffered a blow after Alex Waiswa was shown a red card for a second bookable offense.
The Kisumu County sponsored team has now registered 1-0 identical wins in its last two matches, after defeating Nairobi Stima by the same scoreline in Naivasha last week.
The team will now face FC Talanta in Nairobi on Sunday.The Blue Eagles are now third on the NSL log with 10 points after playing five matches; winning three, losing one and getting a draw in one.
Former Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Western Stima lie second on the log with ten points, after being thrashed 3-1 by Nairobi’s Kibera Black Stars on Wednesday.That was the first loss in the league for Stima this season.
Kibera Black Stars are top of the table with 13 points.Western Stima next face Nakuru based St Josephs at the Kisumu’s Moi stadium on Sunday.
