Speaking at the County Assembly on Tuesday during a special committee meeting, Achayo said that the police had stopped the patrols that they had been conducting at night. He noted that over the last few weeks, there has been no police patrols in Migosi area.

Achayo petitioned the county assembly to task the County Police Commander Joseph Limo to give answers as to why the police patrolling exercise had stopped. The MCA explained to his counterparts that residents in his Migosi Ward are living in fear of being attacked by unknown thugs at night.

"I’m appealing to the house to help me seek answers on why the police patrols were stopped. Our residents must have a feeling of security for both themselves and their property," said Achayo.

Wawidhi North MCA Moses Ochele also noted that the police had stopped their night patrols yet the residents have continued to report the cases of attacks by thugs.

Deputy Speaker Pamela Jossi certified the matter as urgent.
