Kisumu county bar owners have been challenged to improve the security in their places of business.

Kisumu county human rights activist Killen Omondi speaking yesterday at a Kisumu Hotel to bar entrepreneurs, noted that bars operated late in the night. Therefore there is need for improved security to safeguard the customers.

According to human rights activist, customers need to be secure and cormfortable in the bars. Business operators should to employ qualified security personnel that would render service.

“We need to guarantee enhanced security to our customers, through tight security the regulars in the bars will be comfortable."noted Killen.

His counterpart Alvince Bosire, called for improved security amongst locals calling for the bar business operators to tighten the bussines security to safeguard their customers safety.

The activists also challenged the bar customers not to create havoc but should learn to co-exist in the surrounding.

“We need to learn to co-exist in various environments, I therefore challenged those creating havoc in bars in the name of lost memory to desist as it was dangerous as it would lead fights using used bottles that caused human unsafety,”said Bosire.
