ODM repeat primaries for the Kisumu Central Parliamentary seat are underway in the constituency.

The exercise, which was to kick off at 6am, Tuesday morning, was marred with confusion in different polling stations thus leading to delays.

There were delays in the distribution of voting materials in several polling stations while in some schools, pupils had to be turned away as their classes were being used as polling centres.

Confusion was also witnessed at the Jomo Kenyatta Sports Ground, which was being used as a KDF recruitment centre and also a polling station.

The High court on Friday ordered the repeat exercise after the former TNA secretary general Onyang’o Oloo, who ditched Jubilee and joined ODM in January, contested incumbent Ken Oburu’s victory.

Other contenders in the race include Fred Ouda and Sam Okello.
