Kisumu County clergy chairperson Ezekiel Apindi has urged the county leaders to support the governor in executing development agendas.
Speaking at J.C.C church in Kondele, Apindi called on leaders to work together to stir development in the area.
Apindi said that the county leaders should be on check but at the same time support governor in his work.
According to Apindi, the county leaders should be busy looking at issues like unemployment, improving infrastructure, promoting human welfare among others.
The clergy noted that most county residents are still leaving in poverty which is as result of limited opportunities.
If the leaders can support the sitting governor most of the societal needs would be enhanced.
“We should ensure our region is fully developed; this can only be achieved if we work as a team,” said Apindi.
Kisumu county development analysis officer Joseph Nyendo supported the sentiments by challenging county leaders to work in unison.
Nyendo noted that for the county government to achieve it goals there must be a united chain of command that sees development in positive dimension.
