Kisumu County Assembly is set to resume on Wednesday (today) following a recess with a full tray of activities.
The Assembly Majority Chief Whip Gard Olima said top on their agenda is to receive the list of the nominees for executive members from the executive wing.
Olima said the House will adopt the nominees list before sending it to the Appointment Committee.
“The Assembly went on recess to allow the political process to end now we are coming back and will roll our sleeves for the job,” said Olima.
The Committee will then start the process of vetting before returning their report back to the house.
Speaking to the press at the Assembly ground on Tuesday, Olima said it will be the duty of the Assembly to approve the list of the nominees.
He promised that the Assembly will perform its duty diligently without fear or favour while vetting the nominees.
Olima said the Assembly will ensure that the nominees whom they will forward their names for appointment are qualified.
“The Assembly will nt disappoint the people of Kisumu, we will gie them the best members for the job,” he said.
The Chief Whip further announced that they had several Bills lined up for debate and adoption once they resume.
