Nominated MCA Salome Lung'afa congratulated the newly elected majority leader saying she is the first female majority leader in the country.

The former Majority Leader Samuel Ong'ou also congratulated his successor saying he is ready to support her in performing her task.

The two were sworn in power after the Chief Whip Isaiah Onyango proposed the House be adjourned for 30 minutues.

The motion was seconded by Nyakach Central Ward MCA Elijah Omondi who said that the House needed proper leadership.
