Kisumu County government is on the spot for not advocating fully for pesa mashinani in order execute devolution.
Kisumu County lobby group youths Chairperson Victor Angolo speaking today at Kisumu sports ground challenged the county government for not administering fully pesa mashinani noting that it was hindering devolution.
According to him the pesa mashinani, needed to be fully encouraged as it helped in the spread of development across the region.
This would reduce the rural –urban migration as the locals would acquire the services they needed at “mashinani” hence compact labor output and spread in ventures.
Angolo further noted that the pesa mashinani needed to fully executed as it would fully empower the less disadvantaged like the jobless by seeing more ventures are initiated by using the funds.
“We need to advocate for a full pesa mashinani flow in the region to reduce the rural –urban migration leading shift of labor by leaving the aged at home,pesa mashinani also will improve the economic activities in the region by becoming the agent of devolution” noted Angolo.
Atito further called upon youth to also press for development oriented issues in seeing devolution take its course.
