Speaking during a fundraiser held at Dago Thim Kokore in Kisumu Town West’s Nyahera area, newly appointed County Executive Committee member in charge of Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock Development Henry Obade told the area locals that his Ministry will come up with a programme aimed at ensuring that all livestock in the county were vaccinated.

Obade said that all domestic animals ranging from cattle, dogs, cats to poultry will be vaccinated by the county government veterinary officers to improve on their productivity and minimise on animal related infections such as rabies.

“This is the first agenda on my list of what I need to deliver to the residents before the end of this term. The county government is dedicated to ensuring that proper and adorable service delivery is given to the residents,” said Obade.

He however noted that he had challenges sorting out issues that were being handled by his predecessor Dr. Stephen Orot who was sent packing by Governor Jack Ranguma in the recent county cabinet reshuffle that saw some CeCs sent home.

Obade said that the exercise was going to commence next month and will be co-conducted by his Ministry and Dr. Elizabeth Ogaja’s Health Centre.
