[Photo|Eddy Illah]Kisumu Deputy Governor Dr Ochieng Owili visited Sigoti Girls' in Nyakach, following a fire incident that erupted Saturday midnight.Terming the incident as unfortunate, he inspected the burnt dormitory accompanied by the school administration, and further hailed the County's Fire Department for its quick response.During the accident, no casualties or injuries were reported, but property of unknown value was destroyed. Several students lost their bedding, and school items.Dr Owili called on security agencies to conduct thorough investigation to establish the cause of the fire.The deputy governor was accompanied by Kisumu County Woman Representative Rozaah Buyu and Nyakach MP Aduma Owuor, who pledged support for the renovation of the dormitory.Earlier, Kisumu county commissioner Maalim Mohammed visited the school, where he said a roof of the dormitory had shown sinking signs, and that he would not allow students to be admitted in the dorm, before renovations.
