The Kisumu County Diaspora Forum (KICODEF) has now come out to dispel rumours that they are allied to a candidate in the Kisumu gubernatorial race.
The forum’s Coordinator Audi Ogada said the group has not made it public whoever they are supporting adding that anything to the contrary is a lie.
Ogada said KICODEF has clear objectives on why it was formed.
“I want to appeal to those who are peddling lies about this group to stop. We are not in politics, our objectives are clear and I invite all to come and see,” he said.
He said they are not associated to any politician and those purporting so are fighting for their own interests.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu on Friday, Ogada said the group has not been formed to fight anyone as perceived.
He said the group will not be distracted by the insults and name calling they are getting from different quotas.
“We will remain focussed and we will not deviate to respond to insults,” he said.
Audi however, said at an appropriate time, the group will invite all the aspirants and ensure they address the issues advocated for by the forum.
