[Photo|Anyang' Nyong'o]Kisumu Governor-elect, outgoing Senator Prof Anyang Nyong'o has challenged the governmnet to speed up investigations, and reveal killers of the slain IEBC ICT Director, Chris Msando.Msando went missing on July 28, only for his body to be found in Kiambu, July 31.A post-mortem conducted on Msando's body by the government Chief Pathologist Johansen Oduor and family pathologist Dr Bessie Byakika revealed that the deceased was tortured.During Msando's requiem mass at the Consolata Shrine in Westlands Nairobi, Nyong'o expressed concerns that efforts had not been made to find justice for Msando's young family.
"The government should speed up investigations and bring to book those who committed such a heinous act. We continue to pray for the young family that Chris has left behind," said Nyong'o, who read out his eulogy address, Thursday.Msando's wife, Eva, sent a strong message to her husband killers, saying they would be punished wherever they were."We're depending on the government to tell us the truth. We need justice," she said, adding that the Lord would vindicate her.Remains of Msando will be burried at his family's home at Lifunga Kobiero, in Siaya County, on Saturday August 19.
