[Photo|nation.co.ke]Kisumu Governor-elect Prof Anyang' Nyong'o has raised concerns, that police officers have been killing residents in the county.This follows in Kondele, Kiboswa, Nyamasaria, Nyalenda and Manyatta areas on Friday night, when Uhuru Kenyatta was declared president elect in the August 8, polls, by the IEBC.Kisumu is dominated by Opposition leader Raila Odinga supporters, who were aggrieved when he was not declared winner, prompting supporters to take to streets. Nasa claims Uhuru stole their win.Speaking when he attended a Church service at St Mark's ACK Church, the outgoing Kisumu senator called on the police to stop using force, when controlling crowds, to avoid further deaths.Nyong'o however challenged residents to stop provoking the police, by using weapons on them, so as to be safe.He raised concerns that business had been greatly affected since the protests began, adding that it was a loss to the county's economy.Nyong'o called on the business community, including the public transport sector to resume duty, so as Kisumu can get back to its normal life.He was flanked by his deputy governor elect, Jack Owili, among other local leaders, Sunday.
