A section of Kisumu leaders have dared the police to arrest NASA leader Raila Odinga.Led by Deputy Governor Dr Ochieng Owili, they criticised the Jubilee government for arresting National Resistance Movement General Miguna Miguna.
Miguna was arrested after administering an oath to NASA leader during his controversial swearing-in on January 30. He was later taken to Githunguri police station in Kiambu.
He is still in custody despite a court order that he be released on a Sh50,000 police bond pending hearing of the case on Monday.
Speaking the burial ceremony of the founder of Voice of Salvation and Healing Church Arch Bishop Silas Owiti in Nyando, Senator Fred Outs asked President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee government to release Miguna unconditionally.
"They should stop going for the minor leaders and face Raila,” he said.
Other leaders who attended the ceremony include Nominated Senator Rose Nyamunga, Kisumu Woman Representative Rozah Buyu, MPs Jared Okello (Nyando), and Aduma Owuor (Nyakach).
Owili slammed Jubilee government and warned them against intimidating opposition leaders, and demanded that Uhuru should recognise Odinga as People's President.
He further asked the church to pray for the country and help unite Kenyans.
"Men of God should pray for the country because it is getting divided along tribal lines," said Owili.
