Manyatta Youth Bunge chairman Benson Onoka has accused Kisumu County majority leader Samuel Ongow of misleading Governor Jack Ranguma.

“Ongow is responsible for the current wrangles in our county assembly,” said Onoka.

Onoka accused Ongow of creating bureaucracy around the governor making it difficult for his counterparts to reach the county boss.

“Information from the assembly cannot reach the governor directly as the majority leader believes that everything has to pass through him," the house leader said.

"We have house committee chairpersons and their vices who should be allowed to communicate to the governor directly.”

Ongow has also come under sharp criticism from members of the public over allegations of creating the gap between the office of the governor and the county assembly.

David Kodeye, a politician in Kisumu, urged the Ongow to allow smooth flow of information between the county assembly and the governor’s office.

There has been claims of wrangles between Governor Jack Ranguma and his deputy Ruth Odinga. The wrangles are said to have split the county assembly members.
