The majority leader said matters affecting Kisumu County are still in court and nobody can go against it.

He said ODM cannot be the party to disrespect court orders yet they were the ones of the front line against the recent statement by President Uhuru Kenyatta on police recruitment.

"I don’t think my party ODM can be on the front line to disrespect law," he said.

He said they know where the target is and will not allow ODM as party to destroy upcoming politicians.

"Ababu Namwamba who is alleged to have written the letter as an upcoming politician who has been destroyed and I don't think he is in his right sense to do that," Ongow said.

He also insisted that he is still the majority leader at Kisumu County assembly despite ODM party suspending him and Deputy Osumba Olum.

Ongow said yesterday to the press at the Kisumu County premises that he only read about his suspension and his deputy on the media but has not received any official communication from the party.

He said they are yet to be told issues of misconduct in which areas according to what they hear is in the letter.

Ongow said as the majority leader he remains loyal to the party and when they receive the letter formally they will give their stand.
