Kisumu Members of County Assembly (MCAs) have been advised to avoid political divisions in order to foster development in the area.

Kisumu County Voice spokesperson Audi Ogada, speaking to Journalists on Tuesday at Jumuia Hotel during a civic education awareness creation forum, called upon leaders to shun political division and foster development.

He noted that political division were delaying development in the region.

He emphasised on the importance of working harmoniously to achieve the laid down goals. “By focusing on the laid down goals, the locals would have better housing, job opportunities, proper education and improved social amenities,” he noted.

“Political division is a vehicle of rumours and distortions. Leaders need to shun politics and deliver to the locals,” he added.

Kisumu county clergy chairperson Ezekiel Apindi challenged the leaders to unite the locals by acting as their role models.

He noted that political division was brought about by supremacy battles, ideological difference and failure to administer change.

Apindi noted that change is inevitable and leaders must learn to accept change for viable growth.
