Kisumu county residents’ spokesperson Audi ogada, speaking today at kisumu hotel, challenged women MCAs for not advocating for improved girl-child education in the region.

He called for girl child capacity building and advocacy in seeing the girl child acquire proper education through facilitation and awareness creation by the women.

According to Audi in order to instill girl child schooling, the women MCAs should champion girl child education by coming up with bills that support girl child education.

Audi challenged parents who kept their female children at home in favour of the boy child to help embrace girl-child education as they also need to occupy leadership position in the society.

He further noted that through girl child education the society would be balanced by both ladies and men fighting for various opportunities in the society.

“We need to promote girl education in the society by advocating for equal rights and giving aid to girl in education. We challenge women MCAs for neglecting girl child education that would promote equal right,” said Audi.

Migosi MCA Paul Achayo also called upon leaders, locals and parents to embrace girl-child education.
