Kisumu County Assembly Minority Leader Phillip Edwin Anayo havs challenged fellow MCAs to work as a group to help give better services to locals of Kisumu county.
Anayo urged his fellow Members of County Assembly (MCAs) to welcome a court ruling that has reinstated the Kisumu County Assembly Speaker Anne Adul to the office.
Anayo alleged that the persistent wrangles at the assembly are hindering development of the county adding that MCAs should work in unity.
He claimed that even revenue collection for the county has tremendously reduced attributing it to the persistent wrangles among the Kisumu MCAs.
Speaking in Kisumu on Wednesday, Anayo said that the MCAs can only conduct their oversight role effectively when they are united adding that divisions and wrangles will not help.
Anayo has however urged Kisumu county governor Jack Ranguma and all elected leaders in the county to show their leadership qualities and bring peace in the assembly.
He said leaders should not pretend that there is no problem in the assembly, adding that the only solution to the current problem facing the county assembly is to come together as leaders and work for the development of the area.
“Ranguma should now intervene to foster unity in the assembly so that service delivery to the residents can be improved,” Aaid Anayo.
