Kisumu County minority leader Edwin Anayo has denied claims that the opposition party is the driving force behind a motion to censure Deputy speaker.
He said the censure motion against Deputy speaker Pamela Jossy is a project of the majority leader but he is doing it through the back door.
"I want to say the motion to impeach the speaker has been engineered by the majority party through backdoor," said Anayo.
He added, “Its being insinuated that the minority party is making a move tomorrow. We are only six members in the minority party so there is no way we can gunner 36 votes to impeach her."
Speaking to journalists at the county assembly yesterday minority leader Edwin Anayo said that he will oppose the motion that is being sneaked by the minority leader tomorrow at the county assembly.
"We are not going to disobey CORD leader Raila Odinga and we are going to uphold peace in Kisumu County assembly," said Minority leader.
Earlier the majority leader Samuel Ong'ow had said that the motion to censure Deputy Speaker Pamela Jossy was done by the minority leader and that he cannot comment further.
