According to the group secretary, Stephen Omondi, issues to be highlighted in the Sunday meeting is how to ensure traffic rules are observed and also on how to improve services.

“This being our first ever such meeting, we are expected to tackle all the issues that we have been hearing in the media concerning bodaboda operators. Engaging the public is key to addressing this issues because at the end of the day we depend on them,” said Omondi.

Speaking to HiviSasa.com in Kisumu, Omondi said that they are using the forum to promote trust between them and the public.

“We have been accused of not observing traffic rules, causing accidents and aiding crime, and we want to tell the public that, some of these things do happen and it is due to some bad apples among us,” said Omondi.

The event, to be held at the Jomo Kenyatta grounds in Kisumu, will draw operators from Kisumu town and its environs.

Omondi is calling on the members of the public to show up at the meeting for them to have better services.
