The Kisumu County Assembly will this Wednesday table the names of County Executive Committees (CeC) nominated by Governor Anyang’ Nyong’o.
The house will either approve or reject the names based on the level of satisfaction they will get.
This pivotal decision-making venture follows the vetting exercise which ended two weeks ago after Governor Nyong’o dropped all the executive officers who had served under the former County Chief.
According to the House’s Majority Leader Kenneth Onyango, the list was to be examined last week but was put on hold because local MCAs were attending inter-county games in Machakos County.
Among the nominee set for the final perusal include Salmon Orimba (Environment, Water, Irrigation and Natural resources), Richard Ogendo (Economic Planning and Development) and Gilchrist Okuom (Food Security).
Speaker Onyango Oloo said the nominee’s academic and professional qualifications and competencies to will be used as a mirror to determine their suitability for their respective dockets.
