A man hunt has been launched for six foreigners suspected to be part of a cartel ring that has been conning residents millions of shillings in the Lake side city.

The suspected witch-doctors who managed to escape with an estimated Sh1 million from the posh house are believed to have come from neighbouring Tanzania.

The three allegedly managed to jump out of the compound after being ambushed by police at about 4pm on Wednesday.

Police also identified a man by the name Robert Otieno Matete as the one who had taken Sh5 million to the witchdoctors to be "multiplied"

Matete is said to have sold a house and wanted the money to be 'multiplied' by the suspects.

Matete declined to speak to the press, and only kept saying: “ I don’t want the media, I am embarrassed and depressed.”
