Erastus Ekidor said the county will give the visit the seriousness it deserves.

Though he chose not to reveal the exact date of the visit, Ekidor said that the president’s visit plans will be communicated once it is confirmed.

“The county security committee is meeting and once the day of the visit is confirmed, we shall tell the county government leadership in the formal settings set,” he said.

He added that his office would in the meantime fine tune plans for the visit.

“Until that confirmation is made, let us just wait for the president and prepare to receive him well,” he added.

The commissioner asked residents not to emulate Migori where heckling and shoe throwing by rowdy youth disrupted the president’s function early September.

“Be the city that you are. Let us not see any Migori traits here, do not emulate what they did,” he said.
