Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday said that he together with his co-principals; Musalia Mudavadi and Senator Moses Wetangula would love to meet President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Addressing the press after a consultative meeting with the Ukambani Church Leaders Forum at African Brotherhood Church, Bomani, in Machakos, Kalonzo said it was advisable for him, Mudavadi and Wetangula to also hold a truce meeting with the President and hear what he has in terms of dialogue for the sake of the country.
"It will be prudent if we also have our own meeting with him (Kenyatta), me Wetangula and Mudavadi; so that we hear what he says; we hear if he's ready for dialogue or if he'll run away," Kalonzo said.
The announcement by Musyoka elicited a lot of reactions from the lakeside city with residents questioning the motive behind the move.
"Kalonzo Musyoka should not be worried about meeting President Kenyatta. The meeting was between the Jubilee candidate President Kenyatta and NASA Principal Raila Odinga.
"NASA as a coalition we were represented and we are satisfied with the outcome of the meeting," Patrick Opiyo a businessman in Kisumu said.
John Okello a matatu operator said: "We want to move forward as a country. The dialogue is over and now we expect the Government to deliver. Why is it that DP William Ruto does not want to meet Raila but Kalonzo wants to meet the President. It doesn't add up."
