Kisumu residents took to streets in town and its outskirts rejoicing and thanking Chief Justice David Maraga for being fair and just when he delivered a presidential petition nullification judgment on Friday morning.The residents thanked the efforts of senior counsel James Orengo who was main mind behind the NASA petition which he won. The joyous residents chanted songs praising Orengo for burning the midnight oil to ensure that the NASA petition won.
One resident who introduced himself as Kelvin Otieno said "I'm very thankful to Orengo who is the reason why we are celebrating now, he has had sleepless night to ensure that Baba (Raila Odinga) win the case, thank you Orengo God add you more brains."The NASA victory paves way for a new presidential election to be held within a period of 60 days as ordered by the Supreme court.
