The lakeside region is on the spot for not registering their infants with the registrar of persons for birth certificates.
Kisumu County birth certificate analyst Tom Ogweno speaking today to press members at Huduma centre buildings in Kisumu, notably challenged the region’s parents for neglecting to register with registry department in acquiring birth certificates for their infants.
According to him much more of sensitization needed to be in place in seeing the lakeside regions were fully empowered on the essence of the birth certificate issuance.
“Let us promote locals to apply for birth certificates to help in numerical agendas in the country, most of the infants lack birth certificate; birth certificate issuance will help into budgeting,” noted Ogweno.
Other registry analyst officer Irene Ooko also encouraged the great lakeside region to have positive look on the birth certificate, he further called upon the locals to see its importance and embrace it.
“Parents are encouraged register their infants to have birth certificate, the birth certificate will help in proper planning and budgeting,” noted Ooko.
